Description ABSTRACT Essence of sugar produced from sugar cane plant. Sugar cane milling is the separation of essence of sugar and bagasse. This research was developed to design, build, test, and analyzed the economic value of sugar cane milling. The parameters observed were effective capacity, and economic analysis. This research were conducted from August to October 2016 at the laboratory Agriculture Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara. This research shown the effective capacity of the equipment were 80,38 kg/hour. Economic analysis was analyzed just in five years; production cost were Rp. 116.704,37/kg, Rp. 110.059,4173/kg, Rp. 107.847,5003/kg, Rp. 106.743,4643/kg dan Rp. 106.082,4252/kg. Break even point (BEP) were 84,7 kg/year, 45,66 kg/year, 32,66 kg/year, 26,18 kg/year, and 22,29 kg/year. Internal rate of return (IRR) were 46,46 %. Keywords : Design and Construction, Multi Roll Type Grinder, Sugar Cane ABSTRAK   Tebu merupakan tanaman yang mengandung sari gula. Penggilingan tebu adalah pemisahan sari tebu dan ampas tebu. Penelitian ini adalah mengenai merancang, membuat, menguji, serta menganalisis nilai ekonomis alat penggiling tebu. Parameter yang diamati yaitu kapasitas efektif alat dan analisis ekonomi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus hingga Oktober 2016 di Laboratorium Keteknikan Pertanian Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas efektif alat adalah sebesar 80,38 kg/jam, sementara analisis ekonomi menunjukkan bahwa biaya pokok untuk tahun pertama sampai tahun kelima berturut-turut yaitu Rp. 116.704,37/kg, Rp. 110.059,4173/kg, Rp. 107.847,5003/kg, Rp. 106.743,4643/kg dan Rp. 106.082,4252/kg. Nilai titik impas (BEP) adalah sebanyak 84,7 kg/tahun, 45,66 kg/tahun, 32,66 kg/tahun, 26,18 kg/tahun dan 22,29 kg/tahun berturut-turut untuk tahun pertama hingga tahun kelima.
