Hoax has become a global problem unsettling and threatening the unity of nations, includes Southeast Asian countries incorporated in Asean such as Indonesia and Singapore. Hence each countries designs and issues regulation in order to penalize the ones who make or spread fake news or hoax. The sanctions given are vary between a country and another. This paper will elaborate about the way of law in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore view, handle, and penalize the hoax perpetrators.
