Description The international situation, immediately at the end of WW II, became the crucial consideration of the Indonesian’s republic to chosed diplomatic way as one of its strategy to defend its newly independence proclamation. The same situation was exactly putting the British force, the main body of Allied forces commisioned in Indonesia, in a big dilemma. She was trapped between her task to disarmed surrendered Japanese troops and repatriated the APWI in Indonesia, and her agreement to support the Dutch effort reemerge its claimed possesion of the Indonesian archipelago at the expense of her main task as Allied forces. Nevertheless, the dilemma experienced by the British  and the opportunity opened to gain international acknowledgement of Indonesian’s newly republic sovereignity, paved for Indonesian leaders the way to diplomatic arena, to face her enemy through the international community mediation.
