Description   ABSTRAK Danau Singkarak adalah salah satu Danau  yang ada di provinsi Sumatera Barat. Danau Singkarak merupakan danau tektonik yang terbentuk akibat fenomena subduks antara lempeng Asia Tenggara dan lempeng busur muka Sumatera. Aliran masuk melalui tiga Sungai Yaitu Sungai sumpur, sungai Paningghan, dan sungai Sumani. Aliran keluarnya hanya melalui batang Ombilin. Danau singkarak memiliki beberapa fungsi yaitu daerah tujuan wisata, perikanan, pembangkit tenaga listrik dan irigasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis ikan yang ditemukan di Danau Singkarak, Sumatera barat dan untuk mengetahui faktor fisika dan Kimia air dan yang diukur adalah Suhu Air dan pH Air. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Bulan januari-Maret 2021 di danau Singkarak, Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan Survey Deskriptif. Identifikasi sampel dilakukan di Laboratorium Zoologi Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Jenis-jenis ikan yang ditemukan terdiri dari 12 spesies yaitu Mystacoleucus padangensis, Osteochilus hasseltii, Cyclocheilichthys de zwaanii, Puntius schwanenfeldii, Puntius belinka, Hampala macrolepidota, Anabas testudineus, Oxyeleotris marmorata, Channa striata, Macrognathus maculatus, Tetraodon kretamensis, Macrones planiceps. Faktor fisika dan kimia air di Danau Singkarak, Sumatera Barat masih dalam  keadaan optimal untuk mendukung kehidupan ikan. Kata kunci : Danau Singarak, jenis-jenis ikan, Survey Deskriptif ABSTRACT Lake Singkarak is one of the lakes in the province of West Sumatra. Lake Singkarak is a tectonic lake formed as a result of the subduct phenomenon between the Southeast Asian plate and the Sumatran forearc plate. The flow enters through three rivers, namely the Sumpu River, the Paningghan River, and the Sumani River. The outflow is only through the Ombilin rod. Singkarak lake has several functions, namely tourist destinations, fisheries, electricity generation and irrigation. This study aims to determine the types of fish found in Lake Singkarak, West Sumatra and to determine the physical and chemical factors of water and what is measured is water temperature and water pH. This research was conducted in January-March 2021 at Lake Singkarak, West Sumatra. This study uses a descriptive survey. Sample identification was carried out at the Zoology Laboratory of the Biology Education Study Program, STKIP PGRI, West Sumatra. The types of fish found consisted of 12 species, namely Mystacoleucus padangensis, Osteochilus hasseltii, Cyclocheilichthys de zwaanii, Puntius schwanenfeldii, Puntius belinka, Hampala macrolepidota, Anabas testudineus, Oxyeleotris marmorata, Channa striata, Macroregnathensis maculatus, Macroice planpso. Physical and chemical factors of water in Lake Singkarak, West Sumatra are still in optimal condition to support fish life.
