This article discusses how the changes in the ways of thinking in New England between the 18th and 19th centuries were reflected in the material conditions of life based on the analysis of Henry Glassie's (1975) proposals on traditional houses and James Deetz (1977) on material culture, from the Georgian Order.
Este articulo discute como los cambios en las formas de pensar en Nueva Inglaterra entre los siglos XVIII y XIX, tuvieron reflejo en las condiciones materiales de vida, partiendo del análisis de los planteos de Henry Glassie (1975) sobre las casas tradicionales y de James Deetz (1977) sobre la cultura material, del llamado Georgian Order. O artigo discute como as mudanças nas formas de pensar na Nova Inglaterra, entre os séculos XVIII e XIX, se refletiram nas condições materiais de vida, a partir da análise das propostas de Henry Glassie (1975) sobre casas tradicionais e James Deetz (1977) sobre cultura material da chamada Ordem Georgiana. |
