Description The objectives of this study were: (1) to describe the efforts to improve students' critical thinking skills and collaboration in science muple material changes in the form of objects in class V SD Kanisius Kalasan even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, (2) to improve the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students through the learning model. cooperative type STAD, and (3) improve the collaboration ability of class V students through the cooperative learning model type STAD in the science muple of material changes in the form of objects. This research is a Classroom Action Research, two cycles with the stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and tests. Data analysis techniques used quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results showed: (1) efforts to improve students 'critical thinking and collaboration, (2) the application of the STAD cooperative learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills; the mean critical thinking of students in the pre cycle was 68,80; in cycle I amounted to 76; and increased to 79.36 in cycle II, (3) the application of the STAD cooperative learning model can improve students' collaboration skills; the mean value of pre cycle is 69,36; increased to 84.46 in cycle I; and increased to 86.25 in cycle II.
