This research shows that the background for the formation of the BNI silk village in Pakkana Village was due to the economic crisis in Wajo Regency in the 1980s and only in Pakkana Village that still preserved the tradition of weaving from generation to generation so that the BNI bank was interested in building a tourist village in there. After the formation of the BNI silk village there have been many developments in Pakkana Village, for example the craftsmen who initially only worked as weavers have now started to switch professions to become traders, they set up their shops in the BNI silk village area so that buyers can immediately buy the weavings of the craftsmen there. as well as the impact on the community in Pakkana Village, namely that they do not have to be far from selling their woven products in the market, they simply become partners for traders in the BNI silk village. This research uses historical method which is descriptive analysis. Based on this method, the research was carried out through the heuristic stage, namely data collection by conducting interviews with resource persons and books obtained from the Wajo Regency Regional Library and the Regional Library of South Sulawesi Province.
