Description The aim of this research is to know how practice nutrition aware families, level consumption of energy and protein and also nutritient status of children (under 5 years old) in sub district west oesapa 2009. This research is done in 6 posyandu in sub district west oesapa. This is a descriptive research which is done by investigating, observing and measuring the five nutrition content indicators, level consume energy and protein and also nutritient status of children (under 5 years old) by using structed interview method. Total of the sample 100 balita child. The variables are the changing/increasing on weight and nutritient statu, the varety of food consumption, the giving of mother’s milk exclusively, the consumption of iodine salt, breakfast habit, level consumption energy and protein and status gizi balita. The result of analysis shows that 79% balita routine consider body weigth in posyandu, 11 % f amilies consume various food, 42% infants get mother’s milk since0 months to 6 months, 65%  families consume the iodine salt, 87% families include family members always have breakfast, 57% families consume the food of protein, 15% families consume the food of  energy and 55% children (under 5 years old) with good nutrition status.
