Description This research aims to determine the relationship between boarding school management and the objectives of Islamic education in one of the boarding schools, namely the Muhammadiyah Boarding School Yogyakarta. The research method used is the method of field research or field research with a qualitative type based on data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed a substantial relationship between boarding school management and the goals of national education in general and the goals of Islamic education in particular. There are efforts made to achieve the 4 dimensions of the goals of Islamic education.First, physical education which includes learning Fiqh and usul Fiqh subjects. Second, spiritual education with Islamic practice such as fasting Monday Thursday. Third, intellectual education through religious studies based on the arguments and history of mujtahid priests such as Imam Syafi’i, Imam Hambali, Imam Maliki, Imam Hanafi. Fourth, social education through joint activities both in the dormitories at schools and in the community. Providing soft skills that help develop children's intellectuals includes tahfidz (memorizing al-quran), language areas (mandatory English and Arabic language environments), khitobah sughro and others. Likewise, hard skills provisioning in the form of extracurricular activities for Tapak Suci and Hizbul Wathan. With boarding school management and education, students are expected to be able to compete in this globalization era.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara manajemen sekolah asrama dengan tujuan pendidikan islam di salah satu sekolah asrama yaitu Muhammadiyah Boarding School Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode field research atau penelitian lapangan dengan jenis kualitatif berdasarkan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan adanya hubungan yang substansial antara manajemen sekolah asrama dengan tujuan pendidikan nasional secara umum dan tujuan pendidikan islam secara khusus. Adanya upaya yang dilakukan untuk mencapai 4 dimensi tujuan pendidikan islam. Pertama, pendidikan jasmani yang meliputi pembelajaran mata pelajaran Fiqih dan ushul fiqh. Kedua, pendidikan rohani dengan pembiasaan amaliyah islamiyah seperti puasa senin kamis. Ketiga, pendidikan akal melalui pengkajian ilmu keagamaan yang berlandaskan dalil-dalil dan riwayat imam-imam mujtahid seperti Imam Maliki, Imam Syafi`i, Imam Hanafi dan Imam  Hambali. Keempat, pendidikan sosial melalui kegiatan bersama baik di dalam asrama di sekolah maupun di lingkungan masyarakat. Pembekalan soft skill  yang turut mengembangkan intelektual anak meliputi tahfidz (hafalan al-quran) , language area (lingkungan wajib berbahasa inggris dan arab), khitobah sughro dan lain-lain. Begitu pula pembekalan hard skill yang berupa ekstrakurikuler Tapak Suci dan Hizbul Wathan. Dengan manajemen dan pendidikan boarding school diharapkan peserta didik mampu bersaing di era globalisasi ini.
