Objective: Verify if the information management might be characterized as an effective strategy in the CAPES evaluation process in the Graduate Program in Automation and Systems Engineering (PPGEAS).Methodology / Approach: The study was based on the qualitative approach by field study, bibliography and documental research, and participant observation.Originality / Relevance: By the necessity of guaranteeing the recognition and/or maintenance of a Graduate Program, it is considered that a range of information should be managed strategically, which are submitted in ao evaluation process by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES).Main results: The results pointed out that information management represents an effective strategy in the CAPES evaluation process to PPGEAS because accreditation permanency is linked to the way the information is managed related to the evaluation indicators. That way, strategic planning is elaborated to attempt the evaluation indicators.Theoretical / methodological contributions: Thus, means essential the continuous knowledge about this theme to guarantee the effectiveness of the evaluation process and the reach the results in the evaluation system in the PPGEAS scope.
Os Programas de Pós-Graduação têm ampliado sua relevância, em termos de contribuição para com o desenvolvimento científico e tecnológico do Brasil. Nessa direção, o reconhecimento e/ou a manutenção de um Programa de Pós-Graduação é submetido ao processo de avaliação da CAPES, que por sua vez, demanda uma série de informações, as quais necessitam ser efetivamente gerenciadas. Diante disso, objetiva-se verificar como ocorre a gestão da informação, no processo de avaliação da CAPES, no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia de Automação e Sistemas (PPGEAS), associada ao assessoramento secretarial. Para tanto, utilizou-se a abordagem qualitativa, por intermédio de um estudo de campo, além das pesquisas bibliográfica, documental e da observação participante. Os resultados demonstraram a contribuição do assessoramento, alinhado à gestão de informações no PPGEAS, principalmente, àquelas relacionadas ao cumprimento das exigências da avaliação da CAPES. Concluiu-se haver uma concreta atuação do secretário executivo, fundamentalmente, nos períodos transitórios da equipe da coordenação, quando o gerenciamento contínuo das informações necessita de suporte qualificado. |
