This work proposes a way of inclusion and interpretation of works that are not considered in the academic corpus or in recent art histories. In this case I propose the approach to “The Garden of Eden”, a rug embroidered by the sisters of the Order of St. Catherine in the eighteenth century, belonging to the collection of sacred art of the Museum of Religious Art Luis de Tejeda of the City of Córdoba. The mat has a series of signs that make it an image of relevance and interest to understand our environment and our current affairs.
Este trabajo propone un modo de inclusión y de interpretación de obras que no son consideradas en los corpus académicos o en las historias del arte recientes. En este caso, propongo el acercamiento a “El jardín del Edén”, un tapete bordado por las hermanas de la orden de Santa Catalina en el siglo XVIII, perteneciente a la colección de arte sacro del Museo de Arte Religioso Luis de Tejeda de la Ciudad de Córdoba. El tapete ostenta una serie de signos que lo convierten en una imagen de relevancia e interés para comprender nuestro entorno y nuestra actualidad. |
