Description The objectives of research and development of map rings are development of conventional map products to be more attractive, the implementation learning material for the ethnic the islands Indonesia, boosting student responses, and testing the effectiveness of map products from existing questionnaires filled by several sources. Method used model Dick & Carey developed that consists analysis needs and objectives, analysis of learning, analysis of students and contexts, selecting basic competencies and determining indicators, developing lesson plans, designing schemes of the front and back of the map rings, developing learning media, designing and conducting formative evaluations, revising products, and final learning media products. The results of the media expert for the map rings media showed that the media expert gave a score of 92, the material expert gave a score of 94%, and the test of the map rings media attractiveness using 5 students, obtained an average value of 94 %.
Tujuan penelitian dan pengembangan media pembelajaran peta berdering yaitu pengembangan peta konvensional menjadi lebih atraktif, pengimplementasian peta berdering untuk pembelajaran materi suku bangsa yang mendiami pulau-pulau di Indonesia, serta pendongkrakan respon siswa, dan uji efektivitas produk peta berdering dari angket yang diisi oleh beberapa narasumber. Metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Dick & Carey yang dikembangkan terdiri dari analisis kebutuhan dan tujuan, analisis pembelajaran, analisis siswa dan konteks, memilih KD dan menentukan indikator, pengembangan RPP, perancangan skema tampak depan dan belakang peta berdering, mengembangkan produk awal media pembelajaran, merancang dan melakukan evaluasi formatif, melakukan revisi produk, dan produk media pembelajaran akhir. Hasil evaluasi ahli media untuk peta berdering menunjukan ahli media memberikan nilai 92 % dalam kriteria sangat layak, ahli materi memberikan nilai 94% dalam kriteria sangat layak, dan uji kemenarikan media peta berdering dengan menggunakan 5 siswa, memperoleh hasil rata- rata nilai 94% dalam kriteria sangat layak.
