Description Fabril S.A is a company that manufactures, markets and exports oilseed products, hygiene and personal care products in the form of articles for mass consumption and ingredients for industrial use. Within the processes of this company we are going to focus on one of them. The process to be optimized is "Olein oil exports", since the average number of tank cars exported per week is 10 units. During the filling process, a measuring tape is used to control the filling and ensure that the amount of product does not exceed the limits established by customers, national and international laws. This means that there are many reprocesses and loss of time, since the personnel in charge have many errors during filling, when this happens the export process cannot continue (a bottleneck is created), therefore, new activities are carried out to correct the weight. In this way, the restriction affects the entire supply chain by losing time, money, resources, since the bottleneck affects the preparation and distribution of the final product. Based on this analysis, an improvement proposal is made, where the Olein export process will be optimized through Business Case and the implementation of an automated flow meter that allows the fillings to be more exact with a maximum variation of 0, 1%, thus eliminating downtime, reprocessing, and optimizing resources.

La Fabril S.A es una empresa que fabrica, comercializa y exporta productos oleaginosos, productos de higiene y cuidado personal en forma de artículos para consumo masivo e ingredientes para uso industrial. Dentro de los procesos de esta compañía nos vamos a enfocar en uno de ellos. El proceso a optimizar son las “Exportaciones de aceite de Oleína”, puesto que el promedio de carrotanques exportados por semana es de 10 unidades. Durante el proceso de llenado se utiliza una cinta métrica para controlar el llenado y tratar que la cantidad de producto no exceda los límites establecidos por los clientes, leyes nacionales e internacionales. Esto hace que existan muchos reprocesos y pérdidas de tiempos, ya que el personal encargado tiene muchos errores durante el llenado, cuando esto ocurre el proceso de exportación no puede continuar (se crea un cuello de botella), por lo tanto, se realizan nuevas actividades para corregir el peso. De esta manera la restricción afecta a toda la cadena de suministro al perder tiempo, dinero, recursos, ya que el cuello de botella incide en la preparación y distribución del producto final. En base a este análisis se realiza una propuesta de mejora, donde se optimizará el proceso de exportaciones de Oleína mediante Business Case y la puesta en marcha de un medidor de flujo automatizado que permita que los llenados sean más exactos con una variación máxima del 0,1%, eliminando de esta forma tiempos muertos, reprocesos, y optimizando los recursos.
