UJI AKURASI PEMBACAAN MOTIWALI TERHADAP JARAK TRANSDUSER DENGAN DENSITAS PERMUKAAN MEDIUM YANG BERBEDA

Description MOTIWALI is a tidal measuring instrument that uses sound wave. This study aims to identify the limiting factor and accuracy of MOTIWALI to measuring transducer with the surface medium. The sound propagation was affected by temperature and medium density condition as the reflected plane. Reading test were conducted with three different medium density groups (salt water, fresh water, estuary) as well as transducer high treatment (5 treatments). Suitability of distance reading by the tranducer and recording interval was analyzed using ANOVA dan principle component analysis (PCA). The result showed that instrument did not give the difference of distance reading to the surface of medium, but different densities to data recording intervals with the time set in confiq.sys. MOTIWALI effective work at a distance of 150cm from the medium surface and fixing the recording time was added for 1 minute.
Mobile Tide and Water Level Instrument (MOTIWALI) adalah alat pengukur fluktuasi ketinggian muka air atau pasang surut menggunakan gelombang suara (acoustic tide gauge). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor pembatas dan akurasi pembacaan instrumen MOTIWALI. Perambatan suara dipengaruhi oleh kondisi suhu udara dan densitas medium sebagai bidang pantul (backscatter). Uji coba pembacaan dilakukan dengan 3 kelompok densitas medium yang berbeda (air laut, air tawar dan air payau) serta perlakuan posisi ketinggian tranduser terhadap permukaan medium uji coba (5 perlakuan). Kesesuaian pembacaan jarak oleh transduser dan interval perekaman dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan analisis komponen utama (PCA). Hasil analisis memperlihatkan, instrumen tidak memberikan perbedaan pembacaan jarak transduser terhadap permukaan medium uji coba dengan densitas yang berbeda, namun berbeda pada interval perekaman data yang telah ditetapkan pada confiq.sys. MOTIWALI efektif bekerja pada jarak 150 cm dari permukaan medium dan penetapan waktu perekaman ditambahkan selama 1 menit tiap perencanaan pengukuran dengan interval waktu perekaman tertentu.
