Hypertension is still a health problem in the elderly group. As a result of rapid development and a prosperous standard of living, health services can increase life expectancy, so that the number of elderly people increases every year. the increase in age is often followed by an increase in degenerative diseases and other health problems in this group. The general objective of this study was to determine the effect of health education regarding elderly hypertension on the knowledge of the elderly living in the orphanage. This research is a research with a Quasi-experimental approach through the design (Pre-Post Test) One Group Design. The population in this study were all elderly who live in the orphanage. The sample of this study was 57 elderly suffering from hypertension who were taken by total sampling. The results of the research of respondents in this study were there were differences in the effect of health education regarding hypertension on knowledge of the elderly. It is suggested for nursing home nurses to continue with structured health education so that elderly people with hypertension can be treated early.
Hipertensi masih menjadi permasalahan kesehatan pada kelompok lanjut usia. Sebagai hasil dari pembangunan yang pesat dan taraf hidup yang sejahtera serta pelayanan kesehatan dapat meningkatkan umur harapan hidup, sehingga jumlah lanjut usia bertambah setiap tahunnya. peningkatan usia tersebut sering diikuti dengan meningkatnya penyakit degeneratif dan masalah kesehatan lain pada kelompok ini. Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh health education mengenai penyakit hipertensi lansia terhadap pengetahuan lanjut usia yang tinggal di Panti. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan pendekatan Quasi eksperimen melalui rancangan (Pre-Post Test) One Group Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh lansia yang tinggal di panti. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 57 lansia yang menderita hipertensi yang diambil secara total sampling. Hasil penelitian responden penelitian ini ada perbedaan pengaruh health education mengenai penyakit hipertensi terhadap pengetahuan pada lanjut usia. Di sarankan untuk perawat panti melanjutkan health education secara terstruktur sehingga lansia yang menderita hipertensi bisa di tanggani secara dini. |
