Description The article investigates the relationship between job performance and quality of service in the Venezuelan Cement Industry’s (Invecem) Cumarebo Plant (Venezuela), during the year 2018. The research is correlational and non-experimental in design. The population and sample were composed of 14 workers in the company’s service quality department. The data collection tool employed was a structured questionnaire containing seventeen (17) items, with five (5) alternative answers based on the Likert-type scale, which were as follows: always, almost always, sometimes, almost never, and never. The questions were addressed to the aforementioned personnel. The results produced a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.4235, indicating a moderate positive correlation between the variables of job performance and quality of service.
El artículo investiga la relación entre el desempeño laboral y la calidad de servicio en la Industria Venezolana de Cemento (Invecem) Planta Cumarebo (Venezuela), durante el año 2018. La investigación es de tipo correlacional y de diseño no experimental. La población y muestra quedó definida por 14 trabajadores del área de calidad de servicio de la empresa. El instrumento de recolección de datos está representado por un cuestionario estructurado en 17 ítems con 5 alternativas de respuestas, según la escala de Likert, las cuales serán: siempre, casi siempre, algunas veces, casi nunca y nunca, dirigidas al personal antes mencionado. Los resultados arrojan un coeficiente de correlación de Pearson igual a 0,423 , lo que indica una correlación positiva moderada entre las variables desempeño laboral y calidad de servicio.
