Description This research is based on IPS learning in the XE Economics class of SMA N 8 Merangin namely the teacher still acts as an active conveyor of the material while the passive students listen and copy the material delivered by the teacher. Therefore learning strategies that can make students think critically, logically, and can solve problems with open attitude, creative and innovative, is cooperative integrated learning model of reading and compocition (CIRC). This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The research of each cycle implemented in this study looks at the learning outcomes of students in the first cycle obtained by 56.71 or 8 students who completed from 31 students. And seen from observation activity of teacher (researcher) in class XE SMA N 8 Merangin at cycle I average value is 34,5 that is being. The result of score in cycle II is 77,10 or 23 complete students from 31 students. And data of observation activity of teacher (researcher) in class XE SMA N 8 Merangin in cycle II happened increase of average value is 81,62 that is good.
