GICOS es una revista del Departamento de Medicina Preventiva y Social de la Facultad de Medicina, Universidad de Los Andes, de publicación semestral y de acceso abierto, que se publicó por primera vez, en formato físico, en el año 2008, como medio de difusión de conocimiento de las áreas afines a las Ciencias de la Salud. La publicación digital se inició en 2016, los artículos que se aceptan para su publicación son: artículos originales, reportes de caso clínico-epidemiológicos-comunitarios, ensayos y revisiones. El objetivo fundamental es promover la investigación y la publicación en Ciencias de la Salud, mejorando la comunicación académica y contribuyendo en la formación de pregrado y postgrado a nivel nacional e internacional. Está dirigida a estudiantes y profesionales vinculados a las Ciencias de la Salud.
