Focus and Scope Rev Rene publishes works that are not being concurrently reviewed by another journal. Articles that present similarities, even if only in part of the text, images, tables, will be excluded from the review process at any stage. The veracity of given information and citations is solely the responsibility of the authors. Concepts, ideas and opinions present in the works, as well as the accuracy, adequacy and origin of the bibliographic references also are solely the responsibility of the authors, and they not reflect, necessarily, the opinion of the Editorial Board. Mission Promote the development and sharing of relevant knowledge for all spheres of practice, education and research in health and Nursing. Aim Publish original and unprecedented works of authors from Brazil and other countries that contribute to the knowledge and development of Nursing, health and related sciences. Brief History Rev Rene is edited by the Universidade Federal do Ceará, under the responsibility of the Nursing Department and the Graduate Nursing Program. It has its origins in the Rede de Enfermagem do Nordeste (RENE). The first volume was edited in 2000 and had a semiannual periodicity until 2004. During this time, articles written by authors from the Northeast region prevailed, but with some participation from authors from other regions. In 2005, a quarterly frequency was established, conquering the first indexing in international databases. After, the content was electronically published in the open format. In the years of 2010 and 2011, the journal published four annual issues and one thematic issue. In 2012, it adopted the OJS platform, allowing publishing 5 issues and expanding its presence in other indexes. In 2013, the journal became bimonthly with bilingual versions of the articles. In 2018, the rolling pass publication style was adopted and the journal became member of the Universidade Federal do Ceará's Journal Portal.
