Description The aim of this article is to highlight the concepts of privatization and denationalization, by approaching historical aspects and related international comparatives, through researches of other models and privatizations besides the current economic situation of the Brazilian Post Office, according to some data compiled by the Office of the Comptroller General – CGU. Privatization is analyzed in the light of liberal thinkers’ ideas, and, in the end, a practical solution is proposed for eventual privatization of the public company.
El artículo tiene como objetivo tratar los conceptos de privatización y desestatización. Aborda aspectos históricos y comparativos internacionales, así como la situación económica actual de la Empresa Brasileña de Correos y Telégrafos. Al final, se propone una solución práctica para la privatización.
O artigo tem como objetivo tratar dos conceitos de privatização e desestatização, abordando aspectos históricos e comparativos internacionais a respeito, por meio de pesquisa de outros modelos e privatizações, bem como a situação econômica atual dos Correios, conforme dados levantados pela Controladoria Geral da União (CGU). A privatização é analisada à luz dos pensadores liberais, sendo proposta, ao final, solução prática para a efetivação de eventual privatização da empresa pública.
