Description Visual hand tracking atau deteksi tangan secara visual dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat penangkap gambar seperti kamera untuk selanjutnya diproses menggunakan sistem komputer untuk mengekstrak informasi yang diperlukan. Gerakan tangan yang diperoleh diinterpretasikan oleh komputer dengan tujuan tertentu, misalnya komunikasi yang interaktif dengan perangkat lunak tanpa melakukan kontak langsung dengan layar komputer, keyboard, atau mouse. Dari ekstraksi gerakan tangan, dapat dimanfaatkan untuk memperoleh informasi seperti jumlah jari dan isyarat bicara untuk orang tunarungu. Algoritma convex hull pada penelitian ini akan digunakan untuk segmentasi citra tangan setelah diterapkannya filter HSV Skin Detector. Sedangkan Freeman chain code akan digunakan untuk segmentasi rangkaian jari tangan hingga pergelangan tangan.Kata kunci: visual hand tracking, convex hull, chain code, hsv skin detector
