Description Abstract. This article was a qualitative research type grounded theory. The purpose of this study is to analyze creative thinking disposition through junior high school students in order to understand students’ disposition on creative thinking deeply. This study belongs to postpositivism paradigm research. According to ontological side, the reality about students’ creative thinking disposition is actually appeared on students but not or have not been understood before, it just predictable. Otherwise, according to epistemologycal side, the prediction about creative thinking disposition is needed to be more understood. That’s way qualitative research is needed to overcome students’ negative creative thinking disposition. Researcher as the instrument analyzes students’ creative thinking disposition wisely with using triangulation of the data. This study was implemented in one of the junior high school with 25 students as the subject. Based on the analysis of the data, the finding is obtained in this study are: (1) the has a complete facilities with fresh air and a clean environment, (2) mathematics studying and learning process is very optimal and conducive so that it can give a positive attitude in students’ creative thinking disposition, (3) based on result of quationaire data, there are 20 students (80%) have a positive attitude in creative thinking disposition, although there are 5 students (20%) have a negative attitude in creative thinking disposition. We can conclude that most of the students have a positive attitude in creative thinking disposition.
Abstrak. Artikel ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif tipe gounded theory. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis disposisi berpikir kreatif siswa sekolah menengah pertama untuk memahami disposisi siswa terhadap berpikir kreatif secara mendalam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan paradigma postpositivisme. Berdasarkan segi ontologi, kenyataan tentang disposisi berpikir kreatif telah tampak pada siswa tetapi tidak atau belum dipahami sebelumnya, hanya diperkirakan saja. Di sisi lain,berdasarkan segi epistemologi, perkiraan tentang disposisi berpikir kreatif perlu lebih dipahami lagi. Oleh sebab itu penelitian kualitatif diperlukan untuk mengatasi disposisi berpikir kreatif siswa yang negatif. Peneliti sebagai instrumen menganalisis disposisi berpikir kreatfi siswa secara bijak dengan menggunakan trianguasi data.penelitian ini dilakukan pada salah satu sekolah menengah pertama dengan 25 orang siswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Berdasarkan analisis data, temuan yang dihassilkan dalampenelitian ini adalah: (1) sekolah memiliki fasilitas yang lengkap dengan udara yang segar dan lingkungan yang bersih, (2) proses belajar mengajar matematika sangat optimal dan kondusif sehingga dapat memberikan suatu sikap positif terhadap disposisi berpikir kreatif siswa, (3) berdasarkan hasil data angket, terdapat 20 siswa (80%) memiliki sikap positif terhadap disposisi berkipir kreatif, meskipun ada 5 siswa (20%) memiliki sikap yang negatif terhadap disposisi berpikir kreatif. Kita dapat menyimpulkan bahwa secara umum siswa memiliki sikap positif terhdapa disposisi berpikir kreatif.
