Description The study adopted a survey research design with a sample size of 100academic staff from universities in Rivers State and data were analyzedusing kendall’s tau_b correlation coefficient with the aid of StatisticalPackage for Social Science (SPSS, version 20). Findings showed thatcultism significantly and strongly relates with academic performance. Thestudy recommends amongst others that academic administrative teamsshould ensure effective implementation of laws that guide universitystudent code of conduct.
