Description Higher Education Institutions (HEI) play a very important role in producing a highly educated community today. Not to be outdone, Islamic HEIs based on Islamic studies such as akidah, sharia and morality also produce human capital that contributes various contributions to the community in Malaysia. Among the studies offered at Islamic HEI is the study of the Quran which successfully educates its students to read the Quran well. One of the courses offered in some Islamic HEIs is Talaqqī Al-Quran Bersanad Course. The offer of this course is usually in the form of a certificate and is open to anyone including the general public. The intake of talaqqī al-Quran sanad is increasingly emphasized in Malaysia. Meanwhile, researcher found that not many HEIs offer this course. Therefore, this paper will discuss the role of HEIs in Malaysia in cultivating talaqqī al-Quran bersanad. This study will present an example of a module of two HEIs that offer the study of talaqqī al-Quran bersanad for reference and guidance of those who need it. The two HEIs are University of Malaya (UM) and Sultan Ismail Petra International Islamic College (KIAS). Among the content presented are the name and objectives of the course, duration of study, course content, student assessment and graduation sanad. The method of this study is a qualitative while data collection is carried out through the library method and information search on the internet. The results of the study found that the Talaqqī al-Quran Bersanad Course needs to be developed and disseminated. This is because learning by talaqqī bersanad is a sunnah of the Prophet SAW and also the qurrā’ in every age. Islamic HEIs need to play a role in cultivating the talaqqī al-Quran bersanad as well as attracting the interest of the Malaysian community to read the Quran. It is hoped that this study can be beneficial in cultivating talaqqī al-Quran bersanad in Malaysia.
Institusi Pengajian Tinggi (IPT) memainkan peranan yang sangat penting dalam melahirkan komuniti berpendidikan tinggi pada hari ini. IPT Islam yang berasaskan pendidikan seperti akidah, syariah dan akhlak turut sama menyumbang dalam melahirkan modal insan yang mencurahkan pelbagai sumbangan kepada masyarakat di Malaysia. Antara salah satu pengajian yang ditawarkan di IPT Islam adalah pengajian al-Quran yang matlamatnya adalah untuk mendidik para pelajarnya supaya dapat membaca al-Quran dengan baik. Sebahagian IPT Islam juga menawarkan Kursus Talaqqī al-Quran Bersanad kepada orang awam secara persijilan. Permintaan untuk pengajian talaqqī al-Quran bersanad semakin berkembang di Malaysia. Walaupun begitu, kuantiti IPT Islam yang menawarkan kursus ini adalah terhad. Oleh itu, objektif artikel ini adalah untuk mengenalpasti peranan IPT Islam dalam pembudayaan talaqqī al-Quran bersanad. Kajian ini akan membentangkan analisis perbandingan tentang pengajian talaqqī al-Quran bersanad yang ditawarkan di Universiti Malaya (UM) dan Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Sultan Ismail Petra (KIAS). Antara kandungan yang dibentangkan adalah nama dan objektif kursus, tempoh pengajian, kandungan kursus, penilaian pelajar dan pengijazahan sanad. Kaedah yang digunakan untuk kajian ini ialah kualitatif manakala pengumpulan data merangkumi data sekunder daripada sumber kepustakaan dan internet. Hasil kajian mendapati Kursus Talaqqī al-Quran Bersanad perlu dikembangkan dan disebarluaskan dengan lebih jauh. Tambahan pula, pembelajaran secara talaqqī bersanad adalah merupakan sunnah Rasulullah SAW dan juga para qurrā’ pada setiap zaman. Oleh itu, setiap IPT Islam perlu memainkan peranan penting untuk membudayakan talaqqī al-Quran secara bersanad.
