Description Abstrak : Covid-19 bukan hanya berdampak pada kesehatan, tetapi juga pada segi ekonomi. Hal inilah yang mendasari kami untuk mengadakan program pendampingan dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam hal pembentukan lingkungan tangguh Covid-19 berbasis kelompok perempuan di Kecamatan Medan Polonia Kota Medan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas dan ketangguhan masyarakat Kecamatan Medan Polonia dalam menghadapi bencana pandemic berbasis penguatan kelompok perempuan rumah tangga. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui metode survei partisipatif, ceramah, diskusi, praktik langsung, observasi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Pembentukan lingkungan tangguh covid-19 ini melibatkan beberapa mitra, yakni aparatur  Kecamatan Medan Polonia, TP PKK Kecamatan Medan Polonia dan  TP PKK Kelurahan dari 5 (lima) Kelurahan di Kecamatan Medan Polonia. Luaran dari kegiatan ini, antara lain, (a) meningkatnya pemahaman kelompok perempuan tentang manajemen bencana berbasis kesetaraan gender; (b) teridentifikasinya ancaman, kerentanan, dan kapasitas masyarakat dalam menghadapi bencana; (c) tersusunnya Dokumen RPB, Peta Risiko Bencana, dan Peta Evakuasi Bencana; (d) terbentuknya Forum Pengurangan Risiko Bencana tingkat kelurahan; dan (e) teridentifikasinya kebutuhan pelatihan kelompok perempuan dalam meningkatkan perekonomian keluarga sebagai bentuk peningkatan kapasitas dan kualitas lingkungan tangguh bencana.
Abstract : Covid-19 not only has an impact on health but also on the economic side. This is what underlies us to hold a mentoring and community service program in terms of forming a strong environment for Covid-19 based on women's groups in Medan Polonia District, Medan City. This activity aims to increase the capacity and resilience of the people of the Medan Polonia Subdistrict in facing a pandemic disaster based on strengthening household women's groups. This activity is carried out through participatory survey methods, lectures, discussions, hands-on practice, observation, mentoring, and evaluation. The formation of a resilient covid-19 environment involves several partners, namely the Medan Polonia District apparatus, Medan Polonia Sub-District TP PKK, and Village TP PKK from 5 (five) Kelurahan in Medan Polonia District. The outputs of this activity were, among others, (a) increased understanding of women's groups about disaster management based on gender equality; (b) identification of threats, vulnerabilities, and community capacities in dealing with disasters; (c) preparation of RPB Documents, Disaster Risk Maps, and Disaster Evacuation Maps; (d) establishment of a Disaster Risk Reduction Forum at the village level; and (e) identification of the training needs of women's groups in improving the family economy as a form of capacity building and quality of disaster-resilient environments.
