Description |
A numerical procedure to improve the performances of a Reynolds--Averaged Navier--Stokes code by including an accurate prediction of the location of the transition onset is presented. A transition prediction module is coupled with the Ansys Fluent flow solver. The transition prediction is obtained with a CIRA--ONERA data--base method based on the analytical representation of the growth rate for the disturbances as a function of some relevant boundary layer parameters. A preliminary 2D test case will be considered and, then, a real model of wing.
