Tuberkulosis (TB) paru adalah penyakit menular langsung yang menyerang paru–paru. Gejala yang ditimbulkan berupa gejala respiratorik seperti batuk lebih dari 3 minggu, batuk berdarah, sesak nafas, dan nyeri dada. Namun terkadang muncul gejala sistemik seperti penurunan berat badan, suhu badan meningkat, dan malaise. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai pengaruh batuk efektif terhadap pengeluaran sputum pada pasien TBC di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tes Kabupaten Lebong. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pra-Eksperimental menggunakan The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasian yang menderita penyakit TBC paru yang berjumlah 20 orang responden. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang didapat melalui wawancara dengan petugas penanggung jawab kasus TBC paru, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari data buku register pertahun penyakit TBC paru di Puskesmas Tes. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat. Hasil penelitian didapatkan : (1) 11 orang (55%) jumlah (ml) pengeluaran sputum sebelum teknik batuk efektif  baik, dan 9 orang (45%) jumlah (ml) pengeluaran sputum tidak baik; (2) 20 orang (100%) jumlah (ml) pengeluaran sputum sesudah teknik batuk efektif baik; (3) Ada pengaruh batuk efektif terhadap pengeluaran sputum pada pasien TBC paru.. Hasil Uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test didapat nilai  Z = -3,669 dengan                p-value=0,000<0,05, berarti ada pengaruh batuk efektif terhadap pengeluaran sputum pada pasien TBC di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tes Kabupaten Lebong. Diharapkan seluruh pasien yang menderita penyakit TBC paru dapat melakukan teknik batuk efektif yang baik untuk pengeluaran sputum.

ABSTRACT
 
Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is a direct infectious disease that attacks the lungs. Symptoms caused by respiratory symptoms such as coughed for more than 3 weeks, coughed up blood, shortness of breath, and chest pain. But sometimes systemic symptoms such as weight loss, increased body temperature, and malaise. This study aims to assess the effect of effective cough on sputum removal in TB patients in the work area of ​​the Lebong District Health Center. The design used in this study was Pre-Experimental used The One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The population in this study were all patients suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis, amounted to 20 respondents. Data collection in this study used primary data obtained through interviews with officers in charge of pulmonary tuberculosis cases, while secondary data was obtained from the year book register of pulmonary tuberculosis at the Puskesmas Tes. Data analysis was performed univariate and bivariate. The results showed: (1) 11 people (55%) the amount (ml) of sputum removal before the cough technique was effective, and 9 people (45%) the amount (ml) of sputum removal was not good; (2) 20 people (100%) the amount (ml) of sputum removal after the cough technique is effective; (3) Effect of effective cough on sputum removal in pulmonary TB patient. Wilcoxon Sign Rank test results obtained value Z = -3.679 with p-value = 0.000 <0.05 means that there was an effective cough effect on sputum removal in TB patients in the work area of ​​the Lebong District Health Center. It is expected that all patients suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis can perform effective cough techniques that are good for sputum removal.
