Description Infertility in married couples can be caused by female also male factors, one of the fertility parameters can be seen through the ability of the spermatozoa produced. Red ginger known have an antioxidant effect which helps to reduce and prevent free radical substances. This study aims to analize the effect of red ginger extract on the number of spermatogenic cells of cyproterone acetate (CPA) induced mice. This study used Randomized Control Trial research. Samples of 25 male mice were devided into 5 groups. K as control group, K(-) as a negative control group was induced with a single dose of 1,17mg/ml CPA, P1 group was induced with CPA followed by oral 6 mg/ml red ginger extract, P2 group was induced with CPA followed by oral 12 mg/ml red ginger extract , P3 groups was induced with CPA followed by oral 24 mg/ml red ginger extract. Red ginger extract was administered daily for 28 days. The parameters of the spermatogenic cells of male mice in this study was include the number of spermatogonia cells, primary spermatocyte cells, and spermatid cells. The statistic test was used One-way ANOVA test (p0,5) continued with least significance different (LSD) test. The results showed that extract of red ginger 6mg/ml, 12mg/ml and 24mg/ml can increase the number of spermatogonium cells, primary spermatocyte cells and spermatid cells of male mice induced by CPA.Abstrak: Infertilitas pada pasangan suami-istri dapat disebabkan oleh faktor perempuan atau laki-laki, salah satu parameter fertilitas dapat dilihat melalui kemampuan spermatozoa yang dihasilkan. Jahe merah diketahui memiliki zat antioksidan yang dan mampu mengurangi serta mencegah terbentuknya senyawa radikal bebas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa efek ekstrak jahe merah dalam meningkatkan jumlah  spermatogenik mencit (Mus musculus L.) yang diinduksi cyproterone acetate (CPA). Metode penelitian menggunakan 25 ekor mencit jantan yang dibagi secara acak menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu normal, kontrol negatif, hanya diberikan cyproterone acetate 1,17mg/ml dan kelompok P1, P2, P3 yang diinduksi cyproterone acetate 1,17mg/ml selanjutnya diberikan ekstrak jahe merah dengan dosis P1; 6 mg/ml dan  P2; 12mg/ml, dan P3; 24mg/ml selama 28 hari. Parameter sel spermatogenik mencit jantan pada penelitian ini meliputi jumlah sel spermatogonium, sel spermatosit primer dan sel spermatid mencit jantan. Analisis data menggunakan uji One-way ANOVA kemudian dilanjutkan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak  jahe merah 6mg/ml, 12mg/ml dan 24mg/ml dapat meningkatkan jumlah sel spermatogonium, sel spermatosit primer dan sel spermatid mencit jantan yang diinduksi cyproterone acetate.
