Description This paper offers an insight into the causes of resistance against online transportation in a tourist destination in Bali. Guided by the Theory of Planned Behaviour, this research collected data through interviews with the local transportation drivers and the chief of the local village. This paper indicates that the resistance against online transportation is mainly due to the perception that online transportation sets the below-the local standard price. This creates uneven business competition, inflict price war and destroy the transportation industry in the long-run. Mediation by the government is urgently needed to reach a win-win solution for the local and online transportation business.
